Questions, answered
Which apps does it work with?
Almost any app where you can select text: Mail, Slack, Notion, Google Docs in your browser, Word, Pages, Messages and more. Recorrect reads your selection through macOS Accessibility and falls back to the clipboard for apps that don't share their text.
Which languages are supported?
You can write in 12 languages, including English (US and UK), Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Russian. Explanations come in the same languages, and you choose them separately.
What is a credit?
One credit checks up to 1,000 characters. Longer texts use one credit per 1,000 characters, and Polish mode counts double. If a check fails on our side, you aren't charged.
Do you store the text I check?
No. Your text travels over an encrypted connection to our servers and our AI provider only to produce the correction, and it isn't saved. Your history stays on your Mac. We keep only metadata such as character counts and languages to run the service.
Do I need an account?
Yes. A free account lets us give you your daily credits and keep the service fair. Sign in with your email and a one-time code, no password needed.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account and you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments are handled by Waffo, our Merchant of Record.
Is there a Windows version?
Not yet. Recorrect Typing runs on macOS 13 and later, and a Windows version is on our roadmap.
